This is everything I wanted out of a bare-bones guitar, with some flourishes. One piece walnut neck and basswood body keep things relatively lightweight and focused on mid and low frequencies. Two tone pickguard configuration because you need a little flair. The “clamshell” tailpiece is placed as far back as I could manage, and you’ll find the lengths of string behind the bridge complementary in surprising ways, bringing forward unexpected harmonics and sometimes singing out. The controls include a simple three-way “Chicago style” rotary switch, one tone, and one volume.
